How Can We Help You?

Our Story

Mr. John Crews opened Town & Country Drug. It originally had a jewelry store, soda fountain, and served food!

Fun fact: the original paperwork had a typo and was filed as “Town & Country Durg.” This still makes us laugh today!

A staff pharmacist at Town & Country Drug named Mr. Bill Farmer purchased the pharmacy from Mr. Crews. The grill caught on fire on September 30, 1977, and Mr. Farmer decided not to continue serving food and closed the fountain. Bummer!

After 30 years of serving the community, Mr. Farmer approached Mr. Gary Warren, a pharmacist at Medical Center Pharmacy in Odessa. He and his wife, Shelly Warren, purchased the pharmacy from Mr. Farmer. Their two daughters worked at the pharmacy from very young ages – this information will be important in a sec.

Fun fact: Gary went to Town & Country Drug after school most days, where he got a burger, fries, and a Cherry Lime Pepsi for 95 cents. Ahh, the good ‘ol days.

After 28 years of operating the pharmacy, Gary and Shelly’s youngest daughter, Megan, and her husband, Andrew Prado, both pharmacists, purchased the pharmacy and feel blessed to continue serving the community.

Our Team

Get to know the awesome folks that make T & C.

Andrew Prado PharmD, Pharmacist-In-Charge, Owner

University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy

Andrew is from El Paso and went to pharmacy school in San Antonio which is where he and Megan met. After graduating in 2013, they moved to Odessa. Originally, Andrew wanted to be a pharmacist for the money. It wasn’t until he joined Town & Country that he saw the impact a community pharmacy can have. He appreciates that there aren’t many places like T&C left – where all of the employees know the patients and their stories and truly care for them. He is grateful to be a part of this team in this town.

Fun fact about Andrew: He makes the best brisket in all the land. It’s true! Andrew enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Megan Prado PharmD, Owner

University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy

Megan’s parents are the previous owners of Town & Country Drug, so T&C has played a major role in her life. She remembers dusting a shelf at T&C circa 1995, and this sweet little woman walked away from talking to Megan’s father and said, “That Gary Warren, I trust him more than my own doctor.” That did it, she had the answer to the “what do you want to be when you grow up” question. From then on, it was most decidedly – a pharmacist at Town & Country Drug. Thankfully, God blessed that plan, and she is so grateful. She went to school at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy. She feels blessed to be able to be a part of the T&C legacy.

Fun fact about Megan: she broke her face snowboarding. Yikes. Megan enjoys exercise, hiking, and traveling with Andrew and their kiddos!

Bryan is one of our new pharmacists and we are so grateful to have him as a part of the team! He was born and raised in El Paso, TX. He studied pharmacy in San Antonio at The University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy. He wanted to be a pharmacist because of his fascination with medicinal plants, which eventually evolved into how drugs work. He decided to join Town & Country Drug because we are a local pharmacy that supports the community while keeping the art and craft of traditional compounding pharmacy alive. His time with T&C has shown him how close a pharmacy can be to their patients. He’s becoming familiar with you all and starting to recognize his patients’ names and stories. This is one of his favorite aspects, that it feels like a true, local pharmacy. Fun fact about Bryan: he had a run in with poison ivy in pharmacy school. He enjoys hiking, brewing beer and recently has gotten into fishing. In his spare time, he listens to music, reads, and takes care of his plants.
